You have to keep up on the maintenance to keep your truck running.

322,000 as of tonight.. Just got done with exhaust manifold gaskets & studs, complete tune up, and a 3in cat back.. Truck runs looks and drives great, but it has had a lot of work done on it since new, luckily i'm pretty OCD as far as my maintenance goes. Manifold studs and gaskets at least 4 times, ball joints & tie rods a few times, axle joints and u joints all the way across. It did have a new engine put in at 102,000, been great since then. My only concern is how much longer the 4r100 will last for (original to the truck), shifts nice and strong still but the thought is still there. Bought the truck from my dad (who bought it new) for my first vehicle, had it for 5 years now and love it. Plan on buying a bulletproofed 6.0 if I can find one thats clean and what I want.. But I just cant see myself ever getting rid of this truck, its been good to me, and I want to drive it until its falling apart just to see how far she will go.

High mileage has its risks regarding engine/driveline wear or failure. But I think the bigger risks are regarding the vehicle as a whole.

Rust, rubber bushings, hoses, brake lines, electric motors (fuel pump, HVAC blower, window motors, starter, alternator), electrical gremlins... There's thousands of opportunities for failure on high mileage OR high age vehicles.

Engine longevity is important, but WAAAAAY down the list of potential problems.
quoting my own post from december 4, 2015. Here I am 14 months later and my V10 van has 288,xxx miles. Let's do the math: 53,000 miles divided by 14months is 3,785 per month. Or approximately 883/week.

Oh well, I have two employees now, so I'll be doing less of the work. Maybe bring her down around 500/week.

And i I still haven't changed spark plugs nor fixed exhaust studs. Just keep trucking

205,000km 2001 E350 clubwagon chateau. just bought it for parts in January from original owner. runs minty, my first V10 . reading about them I think I might keep the drivetrain and put it into my 86 E150 shortvan project, maybe a supercharger and a set of headers...........

My 08 just turned 115K, guess she is just broke in. I truly love this truck, and so glad to not have to deal with diesels anymore.

This won't win any awards for most miles but my '01 F250SD V-10 CC 4x4 has 82000.
Just replaced the plugs ,COP boots and springs, front shocks, sway bar links and put 285/75/16 Geolanders on.
