Newbie question but...

I have never dealt in the modular power plants so I gotta ask... When did the 4.6 debut?

The 4.6L engine appeared in the Mustang GT in 1996. I'm not certain about when it may have appeared in other Ford vehicles, such as the F150, Crown Vic, etc.

It came out in '91 on the Panther platform for the '92 Model year. IIRC the '91 Lincoln Mark VIII had the DOHC 4.6L in '91 MY.

Thanks guys. That confirms the suspicions I had. Appreciate the timely response. As I said, I know more about the 4.9, 5.0 and 5.8 but then the modulars never went into the Bronco and they are my forte.
