I have no idea. he told us when he came and picked it up that he has one that has more than that and that the mileage is right.

do you have a skid plate? you kinda just have to fish your filter wrench up there to loosen it

2001 F150 Supercab 4x4 Off Road 5.4 only 108k .355 LS rear BFG KOs
This has been the best truck I ever owned. I have replaced one battery and did regular maintenance. Before this truck I had a Chevy 4x4 and it wasn't nearly as good as this truck has been. I use my 4x4 for hunting and don't mind puttin it in the woods.

Thumbs up

221,745 miles on my '99 F-150 4.6 V8 Super Cab 4x4. I have the oil leak on the right rear of engine and thought at one time about having the darn gaskets replaced, but for what the shop wanted...$2k...I can buy a lot of oil for that.

While I have y'all's attention, what kind of can of worms would I be opening up swapping the 4.6 out to a 5.4? When I bought my truck new, I did not get the 5.4 because I didn't ever think I'd need the extra power/torque for hauling a trailer. I've had a trailer now for the last ten years, anywhere from a 16' enclosed for my hot rod to an 18' lo-boy for brush and wood.

Or maybe just have a re-manufactured 4.6 installed.

Wondering if I would have issues with the computers? ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Jerry

I just bought a 02 4x4 with the 5.4 with 200k+ miles on it and love it.
I have a 97 f150 2wd with the v6 with 300k+ miles for a farm truck and its great too. It leaks oil though, but not enough to warrant fixing.

I decided to make sure Im keeping mine into retirement. I installed a new motorcraft 5.4 reman into mine last month. The original engine was still purring fine at 185000 but this gives me motivation to not ever trade it off. I see way too many issues with new models and mine has none.

Good luck.

I have a 2003 f-150 7700 lariat! It has 188,000 KM (about 116,000 miles). It's a great truck, I love it, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. The only thing I've had to do to it, (other then the usual maintenance), was change the rear diff oil when it started rattling going around corners.
