97 f150 xlt 4.6

230k on the 97. Have just started to have MINOR issues pop up. Nothing major and will keep it until the wheels fall off. Overall best vehicle I have owned. Easy to work on, and get parts for when needed.

my '97 has 218k and runs great. I am planning some major projects like head gaskets/chain tensioners/oil pump etc. soon just to keep it good. Trans might be a little tired, but still works good. I will keep this truck forever.

I bought my 97 f150 in 98 with 42,000 on it , I now have 303,000 and still running strong, rebuilt the front end once and changed the rear end once, one new battery and alot of oil changes, still have the original engine belt as a spare, she has been a good one.

A little over 142,000 and still running strong. 2001 SuperCab 2wd with a 4.6L. It is a daily driver and runs as good as the day I bought it new. The only mechanical issue I had was a coil replacement. I expect to have this one a long time.

01 Screw with 5.4 4x4 with 155k on it. I put over 45k on it last year alone and love the truck. I did have to do a tranny rebuild in December (in the driveway - no fun at all) and I rebuilt the front end at the same time, but since I can charge my company 50 cents a mile it was basically paid for. This is by far the best vehicle I have ever owned and I have a tough time seeing myself in another style. I love the looks and the way it drives.

I have been considering new ones with all the incentives... But guys like you make me think my 111K 01 is just getting broken in!

Just regular maintenance and nothing has happened that would leave me stranded!

I beat all of you....100k, 200k-
try 326000 and still runs like new.
No leaks, squeaks or squawks.
Of course, I'm the only one that works on it and I use "castrol gtx" exclusively.

Fuel pump out at 102,000. It's something every day with this truck.

02 Super Crew 4.6L with 115k.
Overall a great truck so far.
I tow as much as a gross combined weight of 12,000 lbs.
Had cop problems once.
Pulled the converter 'out' and had the trans custom rebuilt so not the fault of the original considereing the heavy towing.
One set of tires and one set of shocks.
Only use Motorcraft 5w20 blend and proven to be the oil to use.
Still get over 16 mpg on easy driving.

I've got 162,000 on '01 4.2 x-cab still runs and drives like new. Does not use a drop of oil and tranny is smooth as glass even after towing gooseneck. Did have to perform the isolator bolt replacement to turn off engine light but never affected performance. My '99 4.6 x-cab (159,500) is about the same story just has a few more dings. All things equal I would take the six banger over the eight any day of the week.

My 1998 4x4 4.6 just turned 195000 on the way to work tonight, just bought it but i found the old owners and let me tell ya, it was babied... Got it cheap, most comfy truck ive ever been in. I had an 01 chevy 1/2 ton with the 5.3 strong running truck but felt nothing like my ford. Id take the ford with 195000 miles over the chevy with 75000 miles any day
