Yup, the tech info link is broken, so try http://www.fleet.ford.com/maintenanc...als/deault.asp
Click on "maintenance", then scroll down & click on owners manuals & input your vehicles particulars.

If you are looking for a Factory Service Manual, you are looking at a publication or set of publications that run into the thousands of pages. You may find what you are looking for on a CD. I would suggest Googling for 98 Ranger Service Manual or 98 Ford Service Manual. Another source would be going to E-Bay and searching for a manual or set there.

Well "Helm Inc" might offer something, as they print Ford shop manuals & put out repair CD's, or "Mitchels On Demand", ect, or you might try the net, or "EBay" for a repair CD, or who knows, if your library is up to date, maybe they'll have a subscription to one of the repair sites, that you can access from the library computer & down load, or print what you need, or maybe they'll have some repair CD's or manuals on the shelf.

I have your 1997 Truck, and your 2000 Truck on my homepage.. <edit> Also, the "1992 Vehicle" covers cars & trucks. </edit>
I also have the newer DVD's too but there's no way to host those monsters right now..
I have a few feelers out to get the rest of the Truck manuals since there's a renewed interest..
I don't know enough about Rangers to say if the 97 manual works for your 98.

Town Car, thanks for your awesome link. i downloaded the 97 trucks (for my 97 ranger) and the 96 cars (for my 96 stang). the truck one already helped me nicely diagnose a bad clutch on my truck this weekend (well, we'll see once i get around to replacing the clutch). is there any chance you have 2008 cd that would have an escape (i don't know if it's in the truck or car)? i'd love to have this info for all 3 of our vehicles.
thanks,
chad
