Stimulate the Economy,Buy Guns!
Here is way to help our stagnating economy, protect yourselves both physically and possibly financially,as well!
Quality firearms typically maintain value, and often times appreciate in valuation. Well made and properly maintained guns last nearly forever, and they are an item that can save the lives and property of your family and friends.
Go out at your earliest convenience, buy one or more guns, ammo and accessories, and head out to the nearest shooting range and become proficient with said firearms!
With the current climate in Washington, its quite likely that some anti-gun legislation will be attempted, and this factor alone nearly guarantees that gun prices will continue to appreciate....
Im practicing what im preaching,BTW, as i have purchased nearly 10 assorted guns, and a fair bit of Ammo, ever since the collective wisdom of a certain tuesday last november.........

Yeah, I went out component shoping one day to find that the biggest sporting goods store within 50 miles of home is OUT of .45 ACP brass! I was lucky enough to ****** the last 900 large pistol primers. Not even a full box. I look on Midway and everything is on backorder. Guess I'll have to start buying Federal and Olin stock...

The price of ammo has gone out of sight, all the more reason to stimulate the reloaders section of the economy.......Case in point: Used to get Russian military surplus 7.62 x39mm ammo(the most common rifle caliber in the world) for $1.85 per 20rnds, now its $12.50 per 20rnds for Chinese crap ammo!...... Time to buy dies for 7.62x39mm now.

I need to stock up on ammo, you guys arent kidding about the price of ammo going up, i had a problem finding ammo for my .380 Walther PPK, and when i did it was about 20.00 for a box of 50! I would love to buy another gun but 3 is enough for now...maybe in a few more months.

Thats probably not due to lack of supply but rather lack of production. .380 isnt exactly a popular round so ammo companies don't produce much of it. Same thing with rounds like .25-20 and .22 Hornet, not exactly expensive to manufacture but the demand just isn't that high so production runs are small and sometimes nonexistent. Take for example rounds like the .307 Winchester, .32 Special, and 7-30 Waters. These are rounds that aren't part of Winchesters regular production but they do make seasonal runs on them. If you don't recognize any of those rounds you'll be proving my point. Whereas rounds like the .30-06,.270, and ESPECIALLY .223, demand is constant(the former two with sportsmen, the .223 with law, military, AND civilian markets). Last time I bought .223 it was Black Hills reman that cost about $22 for a box of 50 and theres about TWICE the raw materials in .223 as there is in .380. If you want cheap centerfire fun you need a 9mm, the ammo's freakin' everywhere!

Yea i have a S&W Military and police 9mm and love it, it shoots great! I got lots of 9mm in stock. I also have a S&W model 686 .357 which is my favorite. I got the Walther on impulse, came across it at a gun show and it was a good price. Its pretty accurate and has a good feel to it. I still got the Ruger .22 pistol that i learned how to shoot with, i take it out every once in a while just for old times sake!

I've been stimulating the economy for many, many years, doing exactly what iggybob has been saying.
My state (Maryland) has a one handgun a month law.
It's supposed to read that you can only buy one handgun, per month.
I told my wife that it means that I MUST buy one handgun per month!
As for components, the supply has gotten 'tight'.
(Lots of us are stimulating the economy!)

AMEN! who else here can say that their first gun was a Ruger? At 13 I got my first .22, a Ruger 10/22. I still have it although I swapped the factory wood and barrel for a thumbhole stock .920 barrel and Power Custom trigger, it easily puts all of its bullets inside each other at 25 yards and keeps 'em inside a nickel at 50. This past December I bought my first pistol with my name on the form (I just turned 22 in Jan '09) and it too was a Ruger(single-six w/magnum cylinder, serial number puts it as a mid '70's manufacture and the second year for the new model single six's). Guns are pretty easy for me so thats why I'm moving on to another hobby, gettin that old Ford on the road!
