You are going to do all of that aork to use a spring that is shorter? This is going to make the ride terrible. You will also have to modify the spring hangers too? Man, even if you gave me springs for free, it would not be worth all of that.
I am not sure about the leaf dimensions, but if the above is true, then 200 ucks is too much for your springs.
You can easilly find a used lift kit from a 99-04 super duty and not have any of the problems above. The SD leaf is 54 inches long, typically uses thinner leafs in a greater quantity and just about bolts right up with minimal modifications.
Heak, I even think guys were and are using the leaf springs from Summit racing (pro comps I think). I believe these were 6" front leafs and these springs brand new were about 150 bucks each. These will provide a better shackle angle, and provide more flex than any spring that simply does not fit.
Just because you find a used leaf spring that is affordable, does not make it the best deal out there.
Buy these used springs and you will spend more on time and money than getting the correct ines from the beginning.

i want theses heavy springs cause im running a heavy diesel in it now. we have to do allot of things different in Alaska due to shipping costs also. keep that in mind.shipping would cost more then 200$ on the correct springs to me. i can deal with less then 2" differance.
