block heater

Maybe you guys can help I leave my truck plug in all day and night will this hurt the heater in anyway ?

I have no idea what the exact temp is, but the top hose will get warm to the touch after a few hours and move the temp gauge to the bottom of the normal range.

Get a timer like you use for the Christmas lights that can handle 15A minimum and use that; it'll help with the electric bill and by proxy, the wife

My dad ran the block heater all night long on his new dodge cummins until he saw the electric bill and now he just plugs it in when he wakes up in the morning and by the time he's ready to go it's warmed up

Dang I wish I had that much control over my elec bill.
I could run it for a week and never know the difference.
