Here's the modified silhouette. I really would've liked to include the website on there somewhere, but I couldn't find anywhere to put it tastefully.
I've also got a friend who is good with graphic design that is working on something. I haven't seen it at all yet. I just told her to include Ford Truck Enthusiasts CT Chapter and www.ford-trucks.com onto it. I'll be interested to see what she comes up with.
I'm tinkering around with an oval so we'll see what comes from that.
Let's all keep in mind that I'm by no means an artist though.
Edit: Here's what I have for an oval so far. Am I anywhere near what you were thinking?
Or were you thinking something more contained to the oval like this one.
i made this one using the logo ford used from 1912 - 1928
i tried to make it an oval shaped sticker, but i cant do it on the software i am using unless i start with another image and merge layers and BAH......SO just imagine this sticker as a white oval.

Yes, I think the URL should be there too. We want to share and increase traffic to the site, right?
I think either the shape of the state or just the "CT" is enough, 'chapter' is pretty much understood.
I'd like to point out that black will disappear on a window. Consider black text on a bright background, unless you like it subdued.
If we were to use the "Ford" shape, maybe the Text could wrap (follow) the oval?
Aaron,
I really like yours too, but I think the text needs to be bolder and/or a little simpler in order to read it from another vehicle, even at a light.
There will be intellectual property issues with the Ford script inside an oval.
Maybe my eyes are just getting bad but I'm not sure if I could process that from 25' away in less than 10 seconds.
Please understand this is critique, not criticism.....
I'm stuck with this new (and cheap) laptop right now and don't even know if I can import some of my older graphics programs to run under this OS.
When I dig my life out of a box I'll see if I can play around with this too.

As the Chapter Leader I'll recluse myself from voicing an opinion on any particular design.
As for the Copyright Ford logo, may I suggest that a work around is to get a Ford oval sticker via the accessory catalog (I have seen them) at the Ford dealership's parts counter and paste it onto another sticker that has ultimate design that incorporates the FTE and Connecticut themes.
For instance I went and bought three PowerStroke Diesel placards and pasted them onto my van (diesel vans don't come with such identifiers).
Its underneath the door handle.
I also have a large oval for the back, but I haven't had time and nice weather to mount it on the back of the van, I was planning on sticking the chrome flames around it.
Of course having these placards on a non-Ford box body might be misleading or inappropriate, but eh I'm just a promoter and the placards don't come with copyright use - misuse legal info papers.

hey dave, lets make stickers of your avatar for our chapter! maybe just tattoo the state of CT on her belly? haha
Aaron:
If she becomes the chosen poster child, then I would hope that the sticker be crafted from that prismatic media.
The kind that when you look at it from different perspectives the image shifts or changes.
That way her joyfulness is conveyed to the viewer.

2000 PowerStroke that triaxle is BEAUTIFUL. I need more pics of it.
Heck I have several more, just not the warm weather to go and apply them.
For instance I have only two Harley-Davidson numeral One stickers, and waiting for another two of them to come into the local H-D store with their next regular restocking order.
One will go on the center of the hood, one on each side by the top of the door underneath the flag, and one on the back up under the clearance lights.
