slow loading

Is it just me, or has FTE become slow to load. Right now it is the slowest loading forum I watch. It seems to take a good 15 to 20 seconds for a page to show up. All my other forums are just about instant.

slow for sure

I have noticed the same thing. I go on another forum at the same time and view it while waiting for pages to load here lately. That and the stupid little log on thing make it hard to spend much time here.

Very Very slow for me as well.

It has to be either the FTE server or all of the ads they are packing in vs. my Firewall and anti virus.

Big sites like Microsoft and MSN load much, much faster.

They need a new server or better design.

Still slow for me. I used to enjoy visiting here, but now it is so slow that most of the time I dont even bother. Most of the time it takes 4-5 tries to actually get a page to load from the original click on the thread, it will give me a box that says the server is too busy or loads a blank page.

I am still having the slow loading as well. I cleared my cache and cookies etc which did help as far as the blank pages. I was having to hit refresh to load each page for the last couple of days. It is a wonderful site and just to bad it is so annoyingly slow.

I had the same prob and it was so annoying that I almost gave up on this place.

The advertisers have some pretty lousy programming, buy a subscription, it is amazingly better. I did one year for a test, now wish I'd done the 3 and got the T!

It appears there is a kick mod installed.

Are people still experiencing a problem with site speed?
We discovered an issue with one of the advertisments that may have slowed down the page loading time (or stopped it loading)

Adrian,

There is still an error, I just browsed around as a guest and I believe it's the doubleclick ad at the bottom of the page.

If you have a KDE desktop try Konqueror, it'll show it to ya!!

Be ready for Konqueror to crash!

-Enjoy

It seems to be working as it was before now for me. It was always kinda slow in comparison to other forums I participate in. This is a much larger group on this forum so that may have a lot to do with it. The problem I was having with it hanging or even stopping has disappeared. I thank you for looking into it.

Ok so as soon as I posted that last post it hung badly I had to refresh the page. It was a double click ad for superchips that was loaded and then it all stopped. Hope this may help.

Just did it again, Same ad appears and it stops completely. Had to hit refresh again. When I click on the ad it says something about doubleclick (flashes by real fast) and then takes me to this site... Superchips / Home / www.superchips.com
