Need New Processor

I took my Lincoln navigator to the dealer to replace the alternator. After they did that they said that the Processor was faulty and needed to be replaced to eliminate the warnings that keep popping up on the dash. The part costs $1567.00 and I am looking for a more affordable way to get a new processor. Please point me in the right direction if possible.
