Where can I find a replacement mid-ship fuel tank for 79 f350 4x4.

 

I know that they have these through LMC truck and the price for the tank is 139.95. You can look on ebay for one, or in classified ads. I personally would go through LMC its very dependable and not to pricey.

'77.5 - '79 f-250 4x4 & '79 f-350 4x4 had a plastic front tank. I don't think anyone makes them or the big skid pan that holds them up.

 

My tank is good but the skidplate is rusted right out.

 

Good luck, I had to make mine. I couldn't find anyone that makes them.

 

I recently replaced my rear tank with a plastic unit I got from JBG.

Front plastic tank from the same place.

The link that I posted would be the "correct" tank, since it has the emissions hole at the top. But if you have, or plan to, eliminate all of the emmisions equipment you can get this tank w/o the hole.

So does anyone sell the skid pan that holds up the mid-ship tank mine is starting to rust. I'm planning on replacing sending unit on this tank when it runs dry. Would like to replace at the same time.

The skid pan is obsolete, no Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

 

Just remember if you do that to replace the gas cap with one for non-evaproative emissions, otherwise vapor lock can result.
