7.3 Performance Upgrades- Recommendations

Looking for recommendations on performance upgrades. Do a lot of people use Banks package or do you go al-la-carte.

Interested in;

Exhaust system - prefer SS 2 way
Air filter
Chip/controls
Gauges

Anything else.

Thanks

What's Banks? You mean to tell me they make things for trucks? Huh, who knew?

Banks is overpriced junk. Read the link in my signature. There is a lot of stuff there. When you are done, we will go from there.

No need to spend the extra dough on the Banks name. Plenty of manufacturers with better products and customer service. MBRP or MKO are popular for exhaust systems, 6637 filter for intake (do a search - plenty of reading and cheap), DP Tuner or Tony Wildman tuners, and gauges from DiPricol, Autometer, or ISSPRO. My 2 cents.

I have over 115,000 mi on my Banks system (Stinger plus) , Exhaust still shiney, Ottomind works great, and only had one F-up with their chip and they took care of it immediatl.y The system did everything they claimed it would do. . However they (Banks) have gotten awfully "PROUD" of their products.
One otherthing my truck hasn't blownup, thrown codes, or left me stranded.

Banks? Where did you hear about them? In the mags? They have the best advertisement in the business. They are the best, just ask them.

One other note in 1987 when I bought my first diesel exhaust upgrade for my 1986 F250 6.9 there were only 3 diesel "performance" companys Banks ,ATS, and Hypermax. All of them were actually geared to the RV crowd at that time,

i have personally dealt with banks it took over a month to have them ship a six gun to me and will never deal with them again
i have also dealt with hypermax great customer service, good products no complaints had their 90hp chip for a year

have dealt with ats no problems with them a little pricey though on some things i had a 94 idi factory turbo and i bought the upgrade kit and 3" downpipe

chip wise i'd recommend dp tuner or some other custom chip
exhaust look on ebay
air intake either 6637 or afe pro guard stage 2

Banks isn't junk but I would give you the same advice as above. Unless you wanted a complete kit made by a single manufacture.

BTW I do plan to dump the Banks chip and get a DPTuner
