Let's hear some ideas on a time and place to have our first get together. It will need to be in the central Mississippi area and when it warms up a bit, prolly around April or May or even June. We could have it at my shop in Byram, there's plenty of parking space and plenty of room in the shop if someone needs to do some wrenching, the only draw back to the shop is there's NO bathroom and gravel parking. David (Scndsin) mentioned we could rent a porta jon, that's a possible idea, but we would all have to pitch in and rent one especially for the women and children. He also mentioned the park area in Brandon, he lives near there and said there's plenty of room. Or we could just meet at a restaurant, BS in the parking lot...eat and go.
I'd prefer the shop locale as we'd not be as "rushed" to leave as there simply would not be anyone else waiting for a table. And you mentioned plenty of parking too.
And speaking of t-shirts, I've got a good connection that can get us some shirts printed at what will probably be among the most reasonable costs. For a design, I'm rather partial to the Ford oval, but with the Mississippi flag within as a few here as their avatar.

Your place sounds good and we can do the port a john thing as well and as far as the shirts and stickers I think the idea of the ford oval with the MS flag as in some of our avatars is a great Idea and maybe even put in there MS chapter or something like that ..... Port o johns are not expensive at all and if we all chip in would be a drop in bucket and maybe even look at renting space jumps and slip and slide or something for the Kids to do as well just my 0.02 cents worth ................

This may be the first long trip I make in the F-250. I may need a shop to get back home. Gravel parking won't bother me. I've got an engine I need to haul down that way anyway.
I can understand waiting until it gets warmer, but come May it left "warm" some time ago and will only be getting too hot with each passing day. My vote is for sometime in mid March - late April.

For me....there's a slight chance that I may be moving within the company and if so...I'll be gone from 9 March until approximately 8 weeks later. Dunno yet, and will know more within the next week (maybe)
I also realize that its going to be nigh to impossible to coordinate a function like this and be able to agree with everyones schedules.

Reference earlier post, numbered 12. I DID get that position I was wanting. And I'll be gone for 8 weeks (yep, that's two months) starting on the 9th of March. I'm going to Amtrak Conductor school and rather looking forward to it. A lil more pay and a lot less time off. I'll be going to school in Wilmington Delaware and will be a Monday-Friday only. Simply get on a train on the weekends and go somewhere for the day/evening. Baltimore, Washington DC, New York...etc. Also, planning on driving my car there so I'll have my own wheels.
