Injector Cleaning on a 99 F-150 5.4L

I just did this on another vehicle. Buy rebuild kit on ebay. I went with Mr Injector. This will get you new spray nozzles, o-rings, and screens. Soak injectors in something like Chem-Dry overnight. Remove screens, rinse in alcohol. Install new screns. Actuate injectors with 9V battery (careful to not leave power on, just pulse them so they dont burn out). Hook up tubing with alcohol (I used power bleeder) and actuate FI with 9V battery. Continue pulsating power until FI gives good spray pattern.

Didn't receive too much feedback on this post. So I decided to go online look around and research this out a bit more. I found a company called Fuel Injector Connection (Fuel Injector Connection) in Cumming, GA. For $15 per injector, they offer a same day turn-around. The going rate for injector servicing was $12.50 to $35 per injector. I sent mine two day UPS on a Monday afternoon, they received them Wednesday morning, sent them out the same afternoon and then recieved them Friday morning. I really liked that I would get my same injectors returned. While some folks swear by cleaning the injectors on the rail, I think it is hard to argue that seeing is believing. They test spray your injectors at the appropriate pressure voltage and pulse sequence as well as verify the flow pattern is correct and uniform amongst the injectors. They also replaced all the o-rings and screens and even put nice plastic caps on the ends.
