from craigs list........USED E4OD TRANS $200 good condition w/ torque converter. Out of 95 t-bird 5.0. I have a 1990 f150 xlt lariat e4od with the 4.9L 300-6.

 

Newer transmission, should have all the upgrades. Rebuilds are E4ODs are not cheap, so if yours is shot, picking up a used one might be a good way to keep the truck going.

 

T-birds did not come with the E4OD. That's probably a 4R70W. It might physically fit, but you would at least need a new computer. Wiring connectors might be in the wrong place, and I don't know if the tailshaft is the same or not.

You are in for a lot of custom work if you buy it.
