Oxygen sensors

I am trying to redo the exhaust on my F150 and I have run into the oxygen sensors on both sides of my converter. I know that I I cut them or plug them that my engine light will come on and foul up my computer. Anyone dealt with this before? Do I have any alternative to a hillbilly rig drilled into the new pipe?

Oxygen sensors

I didn't know the 79 had O2 sensors, but this is what I did to add O2 sensors to my 73. I took the headers to a shop and had them take Help's spark plug anti foul and cut them to make bungs for the sensors to screw into (the sensor is the same size as a larger Ford spark plug and that's why I used the anti fouls) Jegs and others sells bungs for the sensors and that's probably the best way to go.
Your computer is really dependant on the sensors, they control the A/F mix and it'll run very bad without them. I've heard the default setting it to run rich if the O2 doesn't work properly.
