Wink I should have listened to you guys sooner!

I changed my oil yesterday ( I won't get into the left the filter wrench in FL so had to use a piece of UF Cable, adjustable wrench and a screwdriver to get the filter off) and used Rotella Syn. Man what a difference!!! It is much quieter, and this am she fired right up with no romps at all.
Well worth the little extra $$ to use the SYN.

Thanks Everyone!

Things must be calming down a bit if you had time to change oil. Congrats on the oil. We have been telling you, but figured it wasn't such a big deal in FL, but then you went back to the frozen north.

I was about 500 miles over due on the dino. It got to 60* or so yesterday so I decided to do it. Things are starting to quiet down here.

Brad if you do it you'll be very impressed with the results....trust me!!!

Rick I think that I'll keep running it even in FL. Is this stuff as good in the heat as it is in the cold?

Good deal Jim on the synthetic change over, great for both environments, better heat transfer in the summer and better cold weather properties in the winter, you made the right choice, your truck is thanking you now..

I been thinking of changing to something myself. Schaffers, or rotella synthetic. The only reason I havent changed yet is because I get a deal on my dino.

It is better in all temps. It is better at start up at retaining it's lubricating properties because the metal isn't bare because it coats so well.

Well that settles that Dino is now extinct in my truck. I'm still amazed at how well it started this morning.

I like that one.

I love Synth. I've notice the price of Rotella Synth dropped a few bucks the last month or so also. I might have to stock up.
