Throttle position sensor troubleshooting

Hi all,

My truck will not idle. Trouble codes show possible TPS problems. I checked base voltage to TPS connector and it read 4.96 volts. I then backprobed wires at the sensor and they read the same (4.96) no matter where I moved the throttle (closed, halfway, open). Am I checking the TPS correctly?

Perhaps I'm doing it wrong!? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

You need to check the MIDDLE wire it's the wire that sends the signal back to the computer.
