Outside of taking part in funerals or friend's weddings.... I have never stepped foot into a church for a religious event.
Me neither, its a life long goal of mine.

Is the ash wednesday service a Catholic and Methodist celebrated (sorry couldn't think of a better word) service? I went to a Methodist church once and it just happened to be Ash wednesday, but I have mainly always gone to a Southern Baptist church and we've never observed it.
I am a Catholic, but I am a C n' E'er unfortunately. I will admit I have not gone to church regularly in 8 years. I know it's horrible, but that don't make me a bad person. I still love God and Jesus. It's just that the only Catholic church close by is where I went to school K-8, and it was hell (ironically). I want to get back into the flow of things soon. Oh and Happy Lent to y'all!
EVERYDAY!!!!!!!! I guess because I farm but I love the outdoors!!!! Worked in oilfield and custom paving, and everyday and night I marvel at this buetiful planet and the colors in the sky and landscape... How can one not believe in the almighty and be grateful to experince this time on earth...

This thread's a litte old, but it's extrememly encouraging to see the "next generation" talk about their faith.
I grew up going to church almost every Sunday. We'd go for Wednesday night services like Advent and Lent. My sister and I really didn't like it too much at the time; we endured it- colored on the bulletins, etc.
My sister is in her mid twenties and goes regularly. Sometimes, she still colors on the bulletins!
Now, I'm 27 and a full-time Lutheran pastor.
It's really interesting to hear people's stories... how they go to church, if they stopped going to church, how they've tried different churches. That's the best part of the job, hearing how the Spirit of God is working today!
Southern Baptist here relaxing on Easter after AWESOME Easter service....my 7 year old son made a public affirmation of Faith today!! What better way than Easter Sunday.
