Hi, all,
It's Thursday Am, and the wind is blowing like eh!!.....
Blowing so bad the monitor on the desk shakes at times!

But at least it's getting warmer.....

For Your Amusement:

THESE ARE ENTRIES TO A WASHINGTON POST COMPETITION
ASKING FOR A TWO-LINE RHYME
WITH THE MOST ROMANTIC FIRST LINE,
AND THE LEAST ROMANTIC SECOND LINE:

1. My darling, my lover, my beautiful wife:
Marrying you has screwed up my life.

2. My love, you take my breath away.
What have you stepped in to smell this way?

3. Kind, intelligent, loving and hot;
This describes everything you are not.

4. Love may be beautiful, love may be bliss,
But I only slept with you 'cause I was pissed.

5. I thought that I could love no other
-- that is until I met your brother.

6. Roses are red, violets are blue, sugar is sweet, and so are you.
But the roses are wilting, the violets are dead, the sugar bowl's
empty and so is your head.

7. I want to feel your sweet embrace;
But don't take that paper bag off your face.

8. I love your smile, your face, and your eyes
Damn, I'm good at telling lies!

9. I see your face when I am dreaming.
That's why I always wake up screaming.

10. My feelings for you no words can tell,
Except for maybe 'Go to hell.'

11. What inspired this amorous rhyme?
Two parts vodka, one part lime.

WHO SAID POETRY IS BORING?

Sent my wife some poetry
Look at what she did to me....

I wrote to her really nice,
Now I need a bag of ice.....

Go ahead, give it a shot,
It really shouldn't hurt a lot.

Just so she doesn't save the flowers for your casket!

Since the weather warmed up a bit I suspect folks are out and doing stuff.

Today I'm off to the pick and pull to get a couple things for my 72.

I lucked out on this last wind storm. The one that hit last fall was a whole different deal. For 2 weeks I spent all of my spare helping my folks clean up the mess on their property.

I hear you. A year ago Jan 2008, same type wind storm took a 12 ft section of roof off the house that we bought in the following June....first order of business was to get it repaired. (Right after we sent over 1 ton of junk from the house and garage to the dump). It's amazing what a tenant can leave in a house when it gets foreclosed.

Isn't it though. I helped clean out a couple of those. The last one had belonged to a self employed truck driver. He took his truck, dog, clothes and drove away. We filled a 30 yard roll off box with trash and junk furniture. For my trouble I scored a pickup load of scrap metal. some tools and bunch of new truck parts.

Good afternoon everyone! Already the middle of the month and inching closer to the warm weather. I'm ready for this winter to end and camping season to start in a month and a half. Luckly this week, no noticable wind damage here.

Well even know I'm not home I was told some of the siding trim crap around my porch blew off and my rain gutter on the one side of my garage. I love the snow but I enjoy warm weather as well you can keep that hot crap.

Being from AZ, I never knew how loud and annoying living in a house with siding could be during a wind storm. I lay there waiting for my roof to blow off my house, alas it never does (knock on wood)...

Thankfully I didn't have any damage from this last one, however it blew my grille across my deck about 15' away from where it was parked, with the wheels locked.. Thought that was kind of funny.

I was just glad it warmed up and was clear enough for me to get the XR650L out for a nice drive into work on Friday! I was looking forward to riding in tomorrow too but I think the roads are gonna be too crappy from todays snow. We'll see how it goes..
