Ok, maybe dumb, but I want to be sure I'm jacking her up & securing properly. I've always had my buddy's shop to use for this before and never had a truck this big.

Where do I put jack stands? And what is the best place for lifting? I have a 3-ton floor jack & a 6-ton bottle jack. Thanks guys!!

I usually lift it up by the pumpkins and put the jack stands under the axle tubes. Before I had my duallly I would support the whole truck this was to rotate the tires.

Brendan.. it that salt deposits under your truck? They use very little salt in the winter on the streets here in washington state, so my 99 PSD under carriage still looks new still or close to it.... But it looks like you maintain your oil pan really good...

Not salt, Magnesium Chloride. They use a lot of it here in Colorado. It is somewhat corrosive but not as bad as salt.

I have 1 set of jack stands that fit inbetween the spring pad and the axle u-joint. I have also used a set of shims under the spring pad to "grab" the bolts and used the jack stand unser that.

I place the jack stands under the front axle between the the spring bottom U-bolt plate and the steering knuckle.

I do the same in the front.

Rears under the axle directly under the spring under the axle.
