RIV Customz truck specs
Here is my toy, a 2004 Ford F150 Lariat Crew Cab 4x4
I have fabbed and welded most of the custom work on the truck and modified some of the things I bought, I did most of the mechanical work with and without assistance. Here is my long list which does not include all the cool things the Lariat comes with. I’m sure the list is missing a thing or two.
Exterior:<O</O
Truck has been repainted black (originally was 2-tone black and Arizona beige), all red accents are painted or powcer coated fire engine red
Truck has been stripped down and had the entire frame painted gloss black
Flame door handles
Black mesh grille
4 each 6” Hella Black Magic off-road lights behind grille (these look great because they come tinted but are still bright)
Halo Projector Headlights with tint
Led tail lights with tint
Limo tint on all 4 side windows and rear window
Tiregate with 40” spare and Hi-Lift jack
Tow Strap
Low profile tool box in bed with all towing equipment, winch accessories, welding gear, and power, air, and hand tools
Self made heavy duty front bumper with 2 pairs of tinted fog lights, 10,000lb load capacity Gorilla Silverback Series winch, 7/8” 6 ½ ton rated shackles, 6 ½ ton rated tow hook.
Self made heavy duty rear bumper with a pair of tinted lights, 12,000lb load capacity Gorilla Silverback Series winch, 7/8” 6 ½ ton rated shackles, 6 ½ ton rated tow hook, pneumatic tool outlet, 110v outlet, rear camera with night time vision
Bumpers have an aluminum flame spray coating and powder coated a textured black
3 horn train horn setup with 450cc ViaAir compressor and 3 gal tank and auxiliary line for airing up tires
Steel cowl induction hood
Fiberglass front fenders with working side vents
Linex in bed
Steel bed caps with Herculiner
10” flame drop hitch
Westin step bars that I had to modify by adding step hoops to help my wife climb into truck. Step bars have been powder coated a textured black to replace the original chrome
Clear plastic mud flaps (I’m not a fan of mud flaps but I’m trying to look somewhat street legal and these look way better than rubber mud flaps)
<O</O
Interior:<O</O
Avic Z2 with upgrade to Z3 with 80Gb hard drive, 7” LCD display, touch screen, Bluetooth, GPS, voice command, Serius/Xm, DVD, iPod hook-up, cd burning capability onto hard drive, back up camera (camera and Dvd can be played while driving)
Duralast Gold battery for startup with battery isolator
7” Lcd screen in each headrest
2 optima bluetops under passenger side rear seat (had to cut out floor and make a suppressed box to fit), batteries sit behind an aluminum diamond plate box cover
1000 watt power inverter
Xbox 360
Pioneer premium surround sound system with sub under the middle and driver side back seat
1.5” Rear seat lift for more under-the-seat clearance
<O</O
Performance:<O</O
AFE CAI
K & N oil filter with Mobile one full synthetic
Superchips tuner
JBA titanium ceramic coated headers
Dual 3” exhaust
Magnaflow high-flow cats
Loudmouth resonators
6” exhaust tips
<O</O
Drivetrain:<O</O
Transmission has been rebuilt with upgrades (I am on my third one so I had this one “built”, it has lasted twice as long as the previous 2 combined)
4.88 Yukon Gears with Royal Purple
MagHytec diff covers
Custom main driveshaft with “do not go easy” painted on it, a saying I lived by in the military
Suspension:
Bulletproof Suspension 12” lift
3” PA body lift
Fox 2.5 remote resi coilovers up front cranked 2” with custom Fox RIV Customz stickers to replace original Fox stickers
Fox 2.5 remote resi emulsions in rear with custom Fox RIV Customz stickers to replace original Fox stickers
Fox 2.0 bump stops with 2 pairs of 16” 3 ply limit straps on adjustable clevises to adjust for strap stretching
10” Atlas leaf springs on 3” blocks
17” of total lift, the rear is less than an inch lower than the front (close enough!)
<O</O
Wheels/tires/brakes:<O</O
40x15.5r20 Toyo M/Ts
20x12 Fuel Octanes in black with RIV Customz decal on wheel lip
Powerslot Cryo rotors
Stainless braided break lines
<O</O
Current mods in progress:<O</O
Installing Hellwig sway bars front and rear, I am refabbing/welding the heim joints for the drop down brackets, the ones that came with the lift kit causing rubbing on the coilovers at full lock. The new joints are much beefier!
Traction bars for the rear. The mounts on the body and axle are already fabbed and welded on the truck.
<O</O
Next high dollar mods:<O</O
Big brake kit
Procharger
<O</O
Future easy-to-do low dollar mods:<O</O
Bump stops and straps for the front
Dual steering assist
Replace front traction bars with better ones (the ones that came with the kit are smaller than what comes with the ProComp lift.
Replace the wiper cowl (they always fade and the little rubber flaps on the side crack and break off, notorious for our trucks)
Ready lift performance steering tie rods
Tow mirrors
<O</O
Mods for the not-so-near future:<O</O
ASC sunroof
More visual and audio (TVs, amps, etc.)
Vinyl wrap with RIV Customz logo (I’m done with repainting the truck at $8,000 a pop. It has been painted twice and is easily scratched. Vinyl is a fraction of the cost and still looks good)
Bed bars/roll bars (not really roll bars) with more lights to shine over the top of the truck (this is also currently in progress but I have not worked on it for about 6 months)
The pics aren't up to date. Each is missing something that is mentioned above.

Heres a close up of one side of bottom lights. The outer sets are 3 in long with the inner lights are about 4 and 1/2 in long. all of them i picked up at walmart for around $6 or $8 a light. Had to improvise on grounding the lights had to replace on of the mounting screws with a nut and bolt combo so i could attach a ground wire to the back of the bumper and ground it out on the trucks frame. This is because these lights are meant to mount on metal but the bumper is plastic where i mounted them.

The exhaust was 50% constructed by myself and a muffler shop- I fabricated the head pipe & wye which connects to 2- 24" Allied Resonators 2 1/2" diameter to 2 1/2" diameter pipes straight out the back with 3" stainless steel tips
Not pictured- Beechkid custom rear sway bar & end links- connects to the spring center plate and runs above the frame rails/below the bed.

Yes, I made the bedcover, latches and internally mounted rails....cover is made from aircraft grade aluminum....100% of the fram & hardware is aluminum as well.

Yes, my own hand fabricated ram air type intake
also I re-tuned the ecm myself.
Tires have been replaced with Yokohama YK 580's
