Brought it a week ago...putting new motor in this week...Guy who had it never changed oil or done any maintenance to it but put oil additives in oil...cam phasers are bad serviced it and they went out or was bad...truck is a 2008 lariat with 100,000 miles had 99,000 when i got it...guy was asking 10,000 i got for 9,250 truck retails for around 16 to 18,000

yep that's what my 100k mile '07 went for last fall when i got it, which is crazy to me and way more than i wanted to pay for a truck at the time. but they gave me almost what i paid for the truck (a ticking timebomb) i traded in for it, and a great rate on this one, so i was crazy not to do the deal. mine even has the same spot of cancer. :/

We honestly thought about trading it in but if they knew way it ran etc we may not have gotten very much...that was a tough choice to make different motor or trade and hope for the best...I went for new motor since I only had truck a week and spent 1,000 on it new tires,oil change,and tranny service and fuel filter... Car lot may have looked at me funny if they seen we just got the truck and only had it for 3 days
