Very nice truck. I don't know if I am sold on the painted grill, but it does catch your eye and is pretty unique. With the heat we are "enjoying", and my truck being matte black, that white looks really "cool"!
How many miles are on it? The reason I am asking is because the spark plugs in those engines are a two piece design and tend to have a problem breaking off in the head when trying to change them. A real great design flaw. It is something that can cost you a lot of money when it comes time to doing it. Most shops try to charge you insane amounts of money to do it if they have any problems at all(which they most likely will). The sell tools to help extract them. There are threads on here that talk about it, and may be worth looking up. Volleyball player huh?

Thanks for the info. It's got 104,000. Well I'm glad my best friend is a mechanic if I have any problems, and usually all he charges me is either a six-pack or dinner. I used to play vball in high school and club, then helped coach club teams for a couple years, but that's been a while. I still like to try to get out and play every once in a while, but doesn't happen too much.

He shouldn't have anything to worry about, he has the 4.6. The 3v 5.4s are the ones with the 2 piece plug design. The lisle tool made to extract the broken plugs is $100 and works great for that. I should know since I had to use it on my last plug change. A lot cheaper than letting a dealership do it!
I thought they all had them, the 5.4's were just more common for having a problem when changing them? I could be wrong here.
VBplayer, I still play in a few tournaments, and a league every once in a while. I am out in CT, and surprisingly I end up playing on mostly grass instead of the beach.
Only the 5.4 has the p[problem and that is because it is the only one with the two piece plug design. All the other engines are fine and have not heard any issues about changing out the plugs.
