Lets see everyones trucks......

Well, I've been a member here for some time, but have been lurking a lot. You see,
I have a 77 F-150 4x4 I've had since 1986 and for about 15 years now, been collecting items
to redo her up propper, like bedsides, tailgate (OEM NIB Ford), doors, trim, motor
(bigger), etc. Not tomake an add out of this, but recently wife has been after me to
maybe look at a newer truck with more room. '77 runs great, hauls well, loves gas, but lacks
cab room ... and the rust detracts from looks, but mecchanically .... I'ld drive her (truck)
to California if need be tomorrow.
Started two weeks ago, visiting dealers, owners, looking for a good $10,000 dollar truck. Wife
found this one Tuesday, it was the one truck she bailed out of the car first to go over and look
closely at. I was distracted by a Raptor .... (man it's one tough looking truck) ....
... across the street which is where we were when she spied this truck.
Well, we found a salesman, took it for a drive, and before we left late that night, papers
were all done. Picked her up Thursday after some cleaning and detailing. I didn't know
they even offered many of these options on a "truck". I hadn't looked at trucks with an
idea of purchasing since '86.
Wow, this thing runs and drives so swet, just that Flowmaster system with 40 is a little
on the "droany" side at low speed. Might try some resonators, or a Delta 50 SUV
Flowmaster muffler? Exhaust is near new. Truck has a bit over 25,000 with 5.4, auto,
etc. Tires look new too.
She loves it, says it's a good compromise between the red Mustang GT she said she
wanted and the truck she wanted us to get before I retire (guess I'll keep this one
23 years too???).
It's "Red".

Thanks!
She is pretty special .... she (Wife Unit) has been mine now 30 years this month
.... and counting.
She wants a personalized plate on it, she's never wanted one on our other
cars or her Subaru Forester. She's making a list of possibilities. She's calling
it "her GT' now.
Once we get over the newness, we'll settle down and maybe drive it a
couple or 3 thousand a year at most. Gonna build a shed type car port
for it though.
I forgot to mention, I never found the $10,000 truck she liked enough to look
at hardly ....
.... it ran a little bit over that.
It has a red and carbon fiber look intake tube set up "TruFlow" I think, and
NO CHIPS (I had it scanned before putting my signature on the line, want to
keep the balance of factory warranty. In service Nov 2007).
I got this picture on the way home as she come up to pass me in the Bird.
Here's a Raptor pic, not my truck .... $41K.
