Water in oil?

2001 F150 4x4 SCREW 5.4liter 167,000 miles

The oil filler neck has a thick milky substance (water and oil) built up on it. However the dipstick shows to be normal (no water). Has anybody else had this problem? This has happended twice in the last 2 months. We have had lots of large temp and humidity fluctuations here in Houston. Maybe some moisture is coming in through the cap???

I use penzoil 10w30 au natural (not synthetic)

Usually this can happen with humidity, and temp conditions.Short trips can add to it as well. There is of course a possibility that you have an internal leak, but if the coolant level has remained constant,it couldnt(shouldnt) be a major one.
Unless you have had a recent overheat event,Id just keep an eye on the coolant level, (clean the grunge out of the cap)and change the oil perhaps more than youre usual interval.

its condensation due to the humidity, cool nights, or short driving habits where it cant burn off or vaporize the stuff. no real problem, just watch the oil color/ condition.

Yea get this typically in Dec/Jan if we had a good cold spell.

Work is under 10 miles each way and lunch might be 2.

Once the weather gets better, I just change the oil a bit earlier than normal and don't worry.
