misfire, replace coil still misfire but different code
hey guys i am having some trouble here i got a 2000 f-150 4.6 103,000 i had misfires on #3 and #7 the scanner said. so i bought some coils and replaced them ran fine for two days now it is misfiring again but now it says ignition coil G and C malfunction blah blah. now to my knowledge that is the same as 3 and 7 but why does it say it a different way now codes are PO357 and PO353. i also pulled a PO430 which i did some reading and am guessing the the cat. but any help with the misfires?

I have bought the ones from Global Automotive off ebay and have had no problems. The first set I put on a truck a year and a half ago and still rolling.

ok so the truck was surging. like be steady power but surging back and forth at a steady rate. like lack of fuel or something idk. but now that i have run the **** out of it it has ran fine the past day and a half. lol idk whats up with this thing. someone in my other post said maybe a fuel regulator. but that doesn't make sense as to why it would say a bad coil connection

ok so i replaced all 8 coils and plugs still missfires. cut off cat and punched out other "which were fine" still misfire. i thought i was the cat because the passenger side was glowing red when running. that usually means they are plugged but i guess its just because its running so lean or rich. either or i dont freaken know. says coil malfunction blah blah on 5 coils. wtf this truck is gonna meet a tree here shortly. any other ideas?? thanks
