Thumbs up Got to love having 4wd

We have 3 to 4 inches of snow and a couple of inches ice on top of it with a nice glaze on top. My wife got stuck in her Cobalt at the bottom of our driveway blocking the entrance and had to walk to the house. When I got home, I stopped at the end of the neighbors driveway and put the truck in 4w Low. I was able to pull into my neighbors driveway, cut through my front yard passing the front of my wifes' car into my driveway and turn around in my back yard, then park nose down in my front yard...

She only had one word for me after she watched me do all this.........

She shaked her head and said...."you d!ck!"...

I was later able to drive her car up the driveway and get my truck repositioned in the driveway..

I put my 4wd to good use yesterday going home from work. Got around 3 inches of snow. Took the back country roads home to avoid all the traffic pileups on the main highways. Today, we got 8 more inches of snow with 1 inch of ice underneath that this morning. Luckily, all the schools were closed and they closed the place I work at for the day. Now, I have to go out and get all that junk off my truck. I hate not having a big garage to put my truck in. Oh well, at least I got the day off with full pay!!!

My last truck was a 4x2 Ranger, I feared for my life when driving in the snow. I can't believe I drove a 4x2 for seven years. In December I bought an 05 FX4, during an ice storm. I waited an hour and a half for the paper work to finalize just so I wouldn't have to drive the Ranger home. I will never miss that truck.

My last trip with the 05 4 wheeler in some good snow sure was fun. Passed everything on the road, and never spun a tire. 4wd's spinning ahead of me and then disappearing in the mirrors...

It's been kind of weird here in Ky this week. Fortunately my wife and I still have power (knock on wood) and since I am a teacher I have had some time off this week to go pick up all of our friends that have HONDAS and can not get around right now. The F150, and my wife's Escape for that matter, have not let me down this week! I love my Ford Truck!
