laurel ford in wimber PA. is like sunrise ford

I have a 2007 f250 crewcab 4x4 less than a year and a half old and the paint on the hood and passenger door has started to bubble. I took it to Laurel ford in Wimber PA. and ask the service manager to take a look at it he would'nt even walk outside because the truck has 58,000 miles on it. He than sent me to a DODGE dealer to get the problem looked at. and after the paint guy look at it they said it was a paint problem.but its not if it was it would be all over and still it should be cover I drove the truck on the tires not the hood or the door the warranty is for the factory-supplied material. Well paint was factory supplied. For the price that we all pay for these trucks and to make them look good, pull hard or just flat out run the factory paint should hold up for more than just a year and a half. any one with the same feeling toward this type of problem?
P.S. Read you warranty book close there is alot of things that is coverd that they won't tell you about. Thanks Donnie

While I agree the paint should last longer, and the problem sucks, the warranty is 36k miles and you are WAY over that. No way are they going to cover it.

It's possible they don't have one. It's possible they wanted a second opinion. It's possible that they preferred to not see this customer again.

+1 Ford is is no way liable for it. Sorry about your bad luck. You might be able to bitch enough to Ford to get them to cover it. I would get a quote from a Ford body shop and talk to someone at the Ford office. Try and be somewhat polite it generally helps especially since they don't have to do anything.

the truck

The truck was drove on the tires and not the hood or the door. I drove 12,600 miles from sep. to dec. All I ask ford crc was to fix the two bad spots. not paint the whole truck the bad part is the service manager didn't even walk outside to look at it and just blew me off. And the bad part is I don't have one in my driveway I have three a 2002 crew cab, 4x4 and a 1996 mustang so this isn't a one time deal!!!just like you guys I own more than one and to be loyal and not have this problem with either of the other ones and ford blows me off like this..Ask yourself HOW WOULD I FEEL AND WOULD I BE AS MAD AS THIS GUY.....

Well, it feels good to vent I guess. FTE is as good a place as any for that. You have reason to be unhappy, so enjoy venting your spleen. But try to have reasonable expectations regarding warranties, too.

I would echo the being polite part. These are tough times and yelling and screaming at someone you are trying to get to help you, though I know it feels good, will send you down the wrong path. Good luck and welcome to FTE.

I thought the 07's were offered with a 60k warranty and not the standard 36k to help move them off lots for the 08's to arrive
