Finally apart of the family 56 f250

Once again I really appreciate the info you men have givin me on my last post regarding the 53 extended cab I posted a month or 2 ago. I have really been searching hard for my next project. I finally found it last week 45miles southwest of Dallas, TX and got it home this last Sunday. It is a 1956 F250 single cab long bed 272 v8 3 on the tree. The only cancer is a small area on the passenger side roof drip rail, 4 inches of lower rear window frame and passenger rear cab corner up underneath the rear of the cab you can fit 2 fingers in the hole. There is surface rust scattered 25% on the front, hood, cab. Not 1 hole in the floor, the has alot of surface rust but no deep pitted rust. The title is available, I just have to send some paperwork off. I figure I did pretty good on it, I payed about $1600 for it including fuel, trailer rent, motel for my brother and to drive up there.I have a 96 F350 chassis that I plan on using for this truck along with a diesel engine(powerstroke or 12v cummins) and an auto tranny. Another plan is to make it a crew cab or 4 complete doors. Im kind of new around here so if yall could drop some names of people who have done such a thing would be great! Also If anyone is interested in stock parts let me know. Pictures will be comming soon. Thanks,Jeff

My pictures are posted here. The bed really looks worse than it is. 1956 Ford F250 project pictures from friends & fun photos on webshots

Has anyone on here made a crew cab out of single cab? Would it be easier to build one with 2 single cabs or stretch out the cab?

Could you post a close up picture of that hood ornament. When I bought my pickup there was an out line of one like that on the hood and have been curious as to what it actually looked like.
