Turn Signal Switch

I need to replace the turn signal switch in my 63 F600.

Does anyone know if this is the same switch used in the pickups?

And what years would work.

Thanks,

Greg

FWIW. i just replaced the turn signal switch i my 66 f-260 4X4 and after doing a lot of searching with a lot of frustration from the suppliers as to what would fit in there i finally took my 64 apart and it looked exactly like the one in the 66. keep in mind here that the column in the 66 was not the same as the 65 and 66 custom cab half tons . this one has the wires running down the outside of the stearing column. i puchased one for a 64 and it fit perfectly. so to get to your question. i think the 61-64 turn signal switches were all the same. just my opinion though. N.D. may have something to say about that. i think i got it from Dennis Carpenter at about 70 bucks.Dutch

Ouch! kinda pricey, I had also planned on wiring in some 4 ways.

Maybe I ought to look into an aftermarket, clamp to the column switch that also has the lever you pull out on it four 4 ways like the big trucks
and wire that in with another flasher.

I'll have to look into those and see how much they are.

And yep mine has the wires running down the outside of the column

If the stock switches weren't to much, I was just going to wire another flasher on a toggle and relay for 4ways.

Thanks alot,

Greg

1961/66 F350/600 / 1961/65 F100/250 4WD / 1966 F250 4WD Turn Signal Switch

C2TZ13341D .. Turn Signal Switch / Obsolete

Fits: 1961/66 F350/600 / 1961/65 F100/250 4WD / 1966 F250 4WD.

DOWLING FORD in Cheshire CT has 2.

WESLEY OBSOLETE PARTS in Liberty KY has 9 = 606-787-5293.

DENNIS CARPENTER OBSOLETE PARTS in Concord NC has 7 = 704-786-8139.

MILLER OBSOLETE PARTS in Binghamton NY has 4 = 800-546-7278

JST AUTOMOTIVE in Lebanon TN has 1 = 615-386-5293.

DON'S TRUCK SALES in Fairbank IA has 1 = 800-462-4406.
---------------------------------------------------------
I do not have the phone number for the dealer in CT, as the Ford Dealer parts locator system doesn't always list phone numbers.

The switch will prolly be cheaper from the dealer than buying it from an obsolete parts vendor.

The dealer can no longer return the switches to Ford, so is STUCK with them!

FY1: The dealer switches were located thru Ford's system, the other switches were located by using partsvoice.com.

Hey GRM61 , i lied, i purchased it from LMC and it cost me $120.00. i couldn't stand it any longer and went outside and looked at my truck. i have a a folder in the cubby hole that has every reciept in it that i spent on that truck since i bought it. anyway i remember now it took about a six pack of beer to get the ordering done. I'm glad i did it though ( drank the beer LOL) one of my pet peeves is the signal not turning off by itself. Dutch

Thankyou very much fellas, ND I called Dowling in CT, He said well I have one retails for 120.00 but I'll give it to you for 88.00, which I guess is good compared to what some of these guys have paid. I appreciate you looking for me.

I've been looking at the aftermarket clamp to the column, with 4way switch
39.89 for this one with 4 ways

42.89 for this one with 4 ways This is the one I'm leaning towards...

I need to go out tommorow and eyeball my Truck to see how that might
work out.

There are some 25.00 ones that would probably work as well...but these two are at the upper end of the universals.

My truck is old enough I don't think one of these would look to out of place

I just can't bring myself plug down that much cash for a turn sig switch.
I guess if It was a show rig I would ,but its old and its a driver.

Feel free to try and talk me out of it
Your opinions are appreciated and considered.

Thanks,

Greg

$88.00 seems kinda high.

I'd call a few of those obsolete parts vendors, and the Ford dealer in IA...and see what they want for their switch.

I would too...you will be amazed at the price spread of the parts from one vendor to the next....I thought they would be relatively similar in price...I was proven wrong bigtime ...as Bill has stated...if the parts been discontinued by Ford the dealers are stuck with it and thus would love to see it move and get what they can for it...I bet you may be able to dicker a lil bit with some of the vendors as well...ya never know till you try...

A 1965 F100 2WD does not use the same switch as an F600 (see post #4), and if you paid 50 bucks for it, you paid too much.

The 1965 2WD switch (C9TZ13341C) is still available from Ford and you can buy it from FTEpartsguy.com (Ed @ Parr Ford in Bremerton) for $44.63.

No...not picking on you, I just don't want the OP to get the wrong switch or get the idea he can buy the switch for 50 bucks.

Several years ago, The F600 switch was still available from Ford. It was the same price as the 1965 (1966/69) 2WD switch.

Most autoparts stores and all the FTE sponsors buy these switches from Ford when they are still available, usually getting 25% off the MSRP price.

Then they mark the switches up...OVER...Ford's MSRP price.

Boy you guys weren't kidding about the price spread, The ford dealer in IA said "we haven't sold one in 54 months"...that'll be 144.00 and wouldn't dicker....

Dennis Carpenter parts said, "we'll call you back sometime today"

Miller Obsolete 75.00

Dons truck parts 140.00

Wesley Obsolete parts in Kentucky, NOS Ford turn sig switch 65.00
So I ordered that, and a NOS Ford Headlight Switch that Bill had looked up for me a while back from them also for 50.00

Not to shabby for getting the right stuff.

I'm happy.

Thanks guys,
Greg

Yea, I figured they would all be about the same.... if these guys wouldn't have pushed to dig deeper, I would have gone with the aftermarket universal switch.

I learned something today

Greg
