Spark Plugs for the Triton V10

I just bought my wife a 1998 Club Wagon XLT E350 15 passenger van with the Triton V10. It's got 27,000 miles on it and I consistantly get 15 mpg on the highway with all 7 kids and their gear with the A/C on most of the time. That's just FYI. Now for the question:
Does anyone know what Ford puts in the engines for spark plugs? And would I gain anything by putting a plug like the Bosch Platinum 4 in it? It doesn't
accelerate as smoothly as I think it should. I've already put in a K&N air filter. That seems to have gained me about 1 mpg, trivial but worth it. I plan to pull a 30 foot camper with it and I want to have it all set up before next summer's camper season.

Thanks in advance.

Thats really good for a V-10. I have never heard of anyone getting that good mpg with a V-10. As far as spark plugs go, Ford uses Platnum plugs to extended the life of the plugs. They say that you can go over 100k on them. I would think that the p plugs will only add life, no extra horsepower or etc. Id doubt you would get better mpg either. As far as acceleration goes, have you ever thought of a freer exhaust? That would add mpg,hp,and torque. Also adding a powermodule could help too. It would really help for pulling a camper.

I already plan to install the Superchip in the spring before towing. I had heard the Bosch Platinum 4 plugs were better than the factory platinums and it's not a bad idea to replace them just for the sake of doing it. Some guys have discovered bad plugs. I probably do have the coil-on-plug situation which will most likely make changing the plugs more difficult. Thanks for the reply
