Well,I posted a pic of my 80 F100 a couple weeks back,and I realized I didn't post pics of the new Ranger.So here's a pic of the two trucks,and the Ranger.

The Ranger

Now,here's the sad part. When I bought the truck,it was having a little tranny problem. The transmission liked to take its time shifting from first to second(it had an automatic). The problem really didn't affect the way the truck drove however,Until last Tuesday(February 24th).I was coming home from my girlfriend's,and I was stopped at a redlight, waiting to make a left turn onto another road. When the light turned green,I started to make my turn.I noticed that the tranny wouldn't go into gear.I figured no problem,it'll eventually go into gear.Well, all of a sudden,it went into gear, but for some reason, when it did,the tires spun, and since I was in the middle of making a turn, the truck went into a skid and threw me into the oncoming lane.I corrected, but not enough, and the truck headed straight into a tree.So now,the truck that I loved so much, looks like this.....

Damage was estimated at 5,000 dollars, and the damage included a bent frame.I only put PIP coverage on it cause I figured I could fix it myself if I ever wrecked it.Boy was I wrong. So it's a total loss.According to the Firefighters,if I hadn't been wearing my seatbelt,I woulda been thrown through the windshield.I'm only 16,so I got crap from the Highway patrol about it.Apparently,if you're 16,and you get in a wreck, the police automatically think you were speeding and did something stupid. The damage I did to the truck looks like I was going 30+.Now here's the reason I wasn't given a ticket. When the Highway Patrol officer did the investigation, she took a couple things into account.1,I walked away without a scratch.2,I had no burns or anything from the Airbag. And 3,I had no pain in my neck or anywhere else, which means that I wasn't thrown forward with whiplash or anything. So the Officer came to the conclusion that there was no way I was going over 15 MPH,cause anything more than that and I woulda been seriously injured. But I got hell from my Mom over it,and My girlfriend now thinks that my Ranger tried to kill me,and that if I get another,it'll try to kill me too.The biggest lesson I learned from this is that I need to have a used vehicle inspected for problems before I buy it or trust it like I did the Ranger.I sure do miss that truck.
