Rear brake lines

1979 F-250 4x4

I was changing the passenger side rear brake line as it was rotten and leaking.
Took it off the wheel side OK.
Tryed to take it off the block on top of the rear end and pulled to hard and broke that block off the rear end.
What holds that block on the axle housing?
Its so rusty I cant really tell.
Is it a threaded hole into the axle housing?
How hard is going to be to find a new block?

It's a threaded tube that acts as a bolt to attach the tee and a vent for the axle housing. You will have to get the broken part out with an easy out and replace it. If you need to replace the tee you will have to get a new brake line from the frame to the axle, it's permanently attached.

As original:

The brass block where the two steel lines attach and has the hole for the rear axle vent tube is part of the rear brake flexible hose.

The block was not available by itself, as there is no way to attach the flexible hose to it.

D8TZ2282C .. Rear Brake Hose & Fitting (brass block) / Obsolete

Fits: 1976/79 F100/250 2WD / 1978/79 F150/250 4WD / 1979 F350 4WD.
