ok I went back like 14 pages and I have posted on every post so I had to post on this one.
I don't think I have ever seen star trek, but let me know if it is a good movie and I will rent it when it comes out on dvd.

My family has bought lots of new movies.... the mummy, national treasure, wall-e, indiana jones crystal skull, ironman, but i have not watched any of them! I can not sit still long enough. + have no intrest in them, But Star Trek is another story. I like the old shows and some of the movies, I hope this one is good.
I will cringe to see just what JJ Abrams tramples on in his story... Kirk served on the Potemkin as his first assignment. Enterprise NCC1701 Constitution Class first captain was Robert April followed by Christopher Pike (Jeffry Hunter), Not JTK...So a 20 year old Kirk seeing the enterprise being built in the trailer is a conundrum due to pike have commanded for at least ten years prior to Kirk.
