'97 CD player??

Ok this may be dumb question, so feel free to give me a dumb answer
I was wondering if Ford putfactory CD players in the 350's or 250's for that matter. Mine has a cassette player and I would love to have a factory Ford CD player, if that is even possible. If not, what would yall suggest? The commercials on FM are getting really old.

Yes they offered a CD player but you need to watch out for two kinds. One is the premium cd player and requires the factory amp to run it. You don't want that one. You can tell it by the plugs. It will have on long and flat plug and one that is more squarish. The standard CD player is the one you want. It has 2 long flat connectors in the back.

I thought all CD players (in our trucks anyway) were premium.

easier just to put an aftermarket stereo in it......go to Best Buy and you can have one installed for under 150.00......I bought off ebay with a flip up 4.5" screen with gps/dvd/tv for 400.00 and installed myself

Tim, where is the amp located? I have the Premium CD player unit but don't recall seeing an amp anywhere in the dash area.

Buy me the one like ron86toy has, and I'll send you mine. Sounds fair to me anyway.

Thanks, Tim. I have to replace the starter so I might crawl under the dash and take a look.

Nevermind..Answered that one for myself. I believe that all factory CD players are premium in that they all use that amp. I cant find a single one that doesnt use the amp.
