Continental tires

When I was looking to buy my 2005 F350, I learned on this forum that the 18" Continentals were a POS. I ordered that truck with the 17" wheels, got the BFG's & they were ok for original equipment tires (really all season, not all terrain as described)
I now have a 2008 F350 coming & it has the 18" all terrain continentals on it. Are they any better? Can't find anybody talking about them.

They are the same!

Take them off ASAP so you can trade them, or negotiate with the dealer for a swap before you take delivery.

I bought Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armors Pro Series. They have a 50,000 mile warranty, the only tire that will give you a warranty in the LT sizes (true a year ago, maybe other brands do now).

I have been extremely pleased with them. The snow and ice traction is unbelievable. They seem to do OK in the mud too. 25,000 miles and they have only worn 2/32" - 3/32". Start out at 15/32" if I recall correctly.

Another tire that seems to get positive feedback are the Michelin's (new one forgot the name) and the Cooper ATR's and SST's.

Your options are pretty limited if you're sticking to the stock size 18" tires.

Goodyear Silent Armors here too. Only got 3,000 on them but so far, they're the best tire I've ever had on any of my trucks.
