351C Crankcase Full of Gas
I put in my hei dist. and was going to start my 351 Cleveland 2v.I checked the motor oil and it was a good 1-1/2" over full and cream colored.I first thought it was water but when I got a smell of it it was gas.I guess the electric fuel pump just pumped the gas right on thur by carb. So I pulled the carb. off and drained the oil. Guess I'll rebuild the carb. and put on a manual fuel pump. Will this stop the gas from running in my crankcase? If I could find a good dual plane intake I'd go ahead and go 4 barrel carb.Anyone got one they want to sell pm me.

Not sure on the electric pump you have,, Do you need an have a regulator on it? If your at 5-6 psi, it's just the carb needing rebuilt (needle seat)
I would trouble shoot a bit more, turn pump on an see if you see gas overflowing, could the gas got in there when you replaced the dizzy? Did you just put the electric pump on? Old mech may have been bad an putting gas in oil. Good Luck,,

I have had the electric pump on for about 2 years without a regulator.Never had trouble before.I might put a regulator on it.I might just go with the manual pump.I'm just running a stock motor.Later I'm going to put a small cam in it and a 4 barrel carb but thats about it. I think a manual pump will handle that ok.

The diaphragms on the manual pumps have been known to leak gasoline into the
crankcase, it happened to me:

I rebuilt a stock carb on a 352 FE. You know they give you all those extra parts so I didn't know I had missed the diaphram gasket. Gas filled up the case also. I would also suggest rebuilding the carb for a couple bucks just so you can eliminate that possibility. May get a couple extra MPG out of your time also.
