I have a 2005 F250 PSD FX4 and have the banks 6 gun w/ PDA and Monster exhaust. I currently run it at setting 3 and have never gone over 3. I was just wondering what sort of readings others were getting for engine, oil temps and what settings some of you others run your programer at.
My current engine temp seems to always be around 192 normally unless towing or climbing. What is a normal temp reading for a desiel engine? This is my first desiel truck so Im not sure what normal temps are. Do they run hotter or cooler than gas engines? What about engine oil temps? Whats the normmal operating temp? Thanks

 

The thing to be more concerned with would be your EGT or exhaust gas temp. I'm sure the Banks system monitors EGT's. Towing, my 6.0 would get up around 900. The big exhaust will help keep your EGT's lower. You can run the Banks as high as you want (though most recommend lower settings when towing), just watch the EGT's.
