I saw a PI fresh V10 with auto in a newer crown vic on ebay about 8 months ago. Most everything was installed but the interior needed to be bolted back in ect.. Somebody was selling it for a friend that had too many projects. Sold for $700.00. Man I wish that I had $700.00 in the bank that week. I would be driving that as a daily commuter/sleeper.

One of my relatives had a Crown Vic with air ride suspension. Was a great car to ride in, Lots of room super comfy. You can pick them used in like new condition for cheap.

Speaking of v10 in a hot rod, I am currently building a SD V10 powered mustang for a friend of mine in Iraq. I'm going to have the engine stroked and have the heads ported. I'm probably going to install a whipple as well but that will depend on what he wants. I would like some help from you guys. I need to know the wieght of this engine,(so as to make appropriate modifications to chassis, spring rates, accessory locations and things of that nature) the length in inches preferably,( I understand that in most repects it is sized like a 5.4. GT500 has that so I know it will fit in those other dimensions.) what the crank bolt pattern is so that I may select a flywheel, and what available manual transmissions will bolt up or were supplyed with the truck. Might have a lead on an 06 3v. I currently work for a domestic performance shop in SA and have a mustang GT so I am familiar with the car and modular engines.
Other plans call for completely redone suspenion, possibly by griggs racing, completely built drivetrain(im not going to let it break should he want to get stupid with the loud pedal), sound system, widebodykit, and possibly a rollcage. There won't be much left stock with the car when I am done with it. Thank you guys for your help. I will be sure to post pictures and keep you informed of the progress.

Love that rod with the V10. Does anyone make chrome or billet valve covers for the V10?
