No, it's run real well. I only have about 33,000 on it, though. Only thing I can complain about is my mileage after they reflashed it. Luckily, I have a buddy at a Ford garage, who can reload the previous program. I lost about 3 mpg on average after that reflash! How many miles do you have on your '06?

Do you have the 4.10 rear end in it? Mine has the 3.73. Before the reflash, on flat and level interstates, I could pull down around 21-22 with it. Now it's around 18-ish.

it's a 3.73. I havn't driven it since the problem with the injector was fixed, it's had that problem ever since I bought it maybe it'll get better. our local dealer is a real stupida** and it's taken that truck leaving me stranded 4 times for them to figure out the problem. but on the good side I've got a new LPOP,injectors,HPOP and 1 cylinder head

Wow! I haven't heard of many 06's having that many problems! Luckily, there are two good Ford dealers here in Omaha. One of the Nebraska member's husband is a Ford tech, and pretty good with diesels.

I spend so much time in the general and Club FTE, frankly, I forget to check the Chapter gab. I have to remind myself to drop in on the 7.3L forum also.

FWIW....It's been hell with my truck. The rear brakes gave in December. I mean REALLY gave out....Not much warning. Let's just say I'd committed to bringing it to the shop on a Friday....They gave out on Wednesday....Leaving work and on the way home and lost most braking power and smoking like a locomotive. Long story short, 2 calipers, 2 rotors, brake pads, blah, blah and blah......$1200 for the job.

I get her back, and not two weeks later (about a week before Christmas), I get t-boned by a car at an intersection which was hit head-on by another car. The truck was in the body shop for 6 weeks.........Basically destroyed both left-side doors, very minor damage to the roof......Fairly good damage to the floor.....NONE to the ladder frame itself (thank God....).....Paint, platform steps, rewiring for the camper stuff......6 weeks later and a $9,000.00 bill for the other guy's insurance company. It's 75% of value for a 'total'......My bill came to about 65%.......Wasn't really looking forward to finding a new truck, so I'm glad it wasn't totaled....

Aside from all that, things are good......

27-K? Jee-zus!!!

Man, YOU must have been getting close to the 'total' level......

Brand new? Prob. at that point, better they DID total it and pay it off and just get another new one.......

Personally, I don't want to lose my 7.3....

they would not total it I wanted them to because I had bought the "gap" insurance on it just for that reason but oh well. the body shop kept my truck from when the wreck happened in june until november, you want to talk about being pissed.......
