One guy told me mid size cruise. That is a strange tranny where water flows from the lower radiator hose for cooling is it not?

MX Cruise-O-Matic is the correct term for the A/T used 1961/67 on F100/350's...with exceptions > >

Exceptions: The 1961 F100 with a 223 I-6 used Ford-O-Matic / 1965/67 F100/350's with the 240 engine used C4's.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The MX Cruise-O-Matic was once known as the BIG Cruise-O as there was another used on some cars called the FX Cruise-O-Matic, aka Small Cruise-O.

what ? the water flows from the hose to where ? I was under the impression the tranny fluid was routed to the radiator for cooling.

Trans cooler is mounted on the trans, the cooler lines run anti freeze coolant from radiator to it.

My Ranger was an auto...3/4 ton too... and had the tee in the lower rad. hose and the other correct lines for the C-O-M...

I also had a 55 Buick with the Dynaflow which was set up similarly...miles of heater hose was used on that sucker...it also had an under seat heater...worked great too..
