Well, then, I guess everyone should take a few minutes and listen to him play a little:

If Freebird was already listed, forgive me. This is only the beginning of the song. Take a deep breath, shed a tear, and enjoy this man's wonderful music.

Go back and look at Dwayne Allman

That's where it all come from....

"I ain't no angel"

No I'm no angel
No I'm no stranger to the street
I’ve got my label
So I won't crumble at your feet
And I know baby
So I've got scars upon my cheek
And I'm half crazy, Come on and love me baby

So you find me hard to handle
Well I'm easier to hold
So you like my spurs that jingle
And I never leave you cold
So I might steal your diamonds
I'll bring you back some gold
I'm no angel

No I'm no angel
No I'm no stranger to the dark
Let me rock your cradle
Let me start a fire with your spark
Oh come on baby
Come and let me show you my tattoo
Let me drive you crazy
Come on and love me baby

So you don't give a darn about me
I never treat you bad
I won't ever lift a hand to hurt you now
I'll always leave you glad
So I might steal your diamonds
I'll bring you back some gold
I'm no angel

No I'm no angel,
No I'm no stranger to the dark
Let me rock your cradle,
Let me start a fire in your heart
Oh come on baby
Come and let me show you my tattoo
Let me drive you crazy
Come on and love me baby
Oh come on baby…
Drive me crazy
Drive me crazy
Oh come on baby
Oh come on baby

Cussed or blessed - those were the days

And that's a thing that is still alive in all of us.

Some of us want it back...

Karen Carpenter - "Now"

Her last recording. Recorded on the day that she died, IF memory serves me, and in did all of her vocals in "one take".

The voice of an angel.

Ah.....WTH.....Someone went to the trouble to mine this thread and do a resurrection....

Oh, Linda!

Not long ago....Said she'd stop performing. Signs of dementia.

Anyway....What a set of pipes....and the violins get me every time. Has any female artist tried to re-do this song???

Enjoy:

You callin' out Slimbo ain't cha?

Okay one that never fails to grab at me is one by Brandi Carlile, The Story. Elegantly simple, not overly complex but if you can put yourself in the singers place its one of the best ways to say "I love you.........."

To wit:
