Great News

My wife had her second followup visit with her doctor today. For those who don't know Lisa broke both bones in her left leg at the ankle on Nov 29. She is doing great. They put her in a walking boot today. She should be completely healed in 6 more weeks. I want to thank everyone who sent prayers & get well wishes. I needed the prayers as much as she did. Its been so hard working all day & doing all the housework plus nursing my wife back to health. She couldn't put any weight on her foot till today so I've had to do everything for her since her fall. Again thank you for the prayers. When I've been at my wits end I've went back & read them for strength. I can't express how much they have helped.

that is really good news.
just remind her to take it easy.
they took my hard brace off 2 weeks ago, and i am now in a soft brace for the next 4 weeks.
but i still can't do much. if i take the brace off and try to walk on it, it hurts like hell.

i was lucky, i did not break any bones like your Lisa did. i had stress fractures and chip fractures. so i got a hard brace instead of a cast.

Fantastic news. Sounds like she is on her way to recovery. Just make sure she takes it easy and does all the PT that is required.

I'll make sure she does her P/T.I'm a firm believer in it.The doctor has 6 weeks of it planned. The trainers teach you the right exercises to use to get the most out of your workouts. I did 6 weeks of P/T about 2 yrs ago for lower back pain. It did a great job on my pain. I still use the exercises about 3 times a week. I haven't had any real back pain in a long time. Lisa saw how well this helped me so I believe she will put a honest effort into her P/T. All I need is you guys to keep us in your prayers. Lisa really has a strong faith in God. When she reads your praying for her recovery it gives her a power you have to see to believe. Thanks again everyone. You are great friends.

Yep that was a tough one Rich. After she refused to use my nipples I just used baby bottles.

More good news.Lisa is able to get around real good already. The doc said to use the walker for about a week to build up her strength in her left leg. I know she will be walking without it soon. She is really working on getting her health back. I was worried she might try to avoid her P/T. She is working out every night now. She is taking it slow but she is consistent. IMHO Lisa will be healed in 6 more weeks. Thanks for the prayers. Please keep them coming our way..
