2001gocougs is starting off with a positive reputation.

Can S-cables be used on rear axle also?

I have a 2008 Escape with P235/70R16 tires. I have a question about using cables on the rear tires.
The manual states "Sae class "s" cables should ONLY be used on the front axle for P235/70R16."
Does that mean only cable the front axle or only use "S" cables on the Front instead of regular chains?
