Looks really clean with A/C, 100mph gauges, and not all rusted out like I am used too. Great truck. I would like to start with something that nice. Lots of fun times ahead!!!

Too bad about your color choice-it is already my favorite. Anyway, if you want a 4wd, consider getting this one running and then look for a 4wd frame and running gear. That would be the easiest way to go about it. I was in the same boat when I got mine, and I eventually just put my body on a 4wd frame. The beauty of getting a frame is that you can redo everything and then just swap the body over, reducing the amount of down time.

Good luck, and keep posting progress.

Looks like a great truck to restore. It looks to be in pretty good shape already so you won't have a whole lot to do with it.

yeah there isnt much that needs to be done but the carb either needs a restore kit or im just goin to buy an edlebrock and go with edlebrock intake the shocks are shot,,truck bounces for about a mile down the highway after going over railroad tracks the bushings on the drag links to the wheels need to be replaced as well as a little interior work-carpet, dash, trim, put some backlights behind the guages ill be sure to keep you posted ,,thanks

Thanks an awesome free gift; just alittle tune up & bath; your on the road. I'm jealous...
I'm restoring a 78 model currently, then got to do a 64 model, then I will convert my 76 model to 4x4, I recently purchase a 78 chassis 4x4 for that project.

good luck with your truck.

Something else I notice; Since you mention Snow, I've never seen those type of front bumper wraps on the outskirts of the front bumper, looks good.

My '78 F-150 4wd had bumper wraps like that on it...doesn't have the bumperettes though. Just the bumper wraps and one of those factory grill guards. You can see it in my gallery, Rumblefish.

Just looked at the pics. A good cleaning would do that truck a world of good. No doubt you likely have cleaned it up by now. One other thing is, regarding the patch job over the rear fender well.....patch panels can be bought to cover that area quite reasonable. Makes it a lot easier to keep a nice smooth lip over the fender and last time I checked, they are quite inexpensive.
