My buddy with a 2001 F350 V10 just called and said his check airbag light just came on and has not shut off for a about a 20 mile ride.

What can we do to figure out what is going on? Does that light throw a code that can be read at a parts store or with a OBDII code reader?

it will only show a code if the light is on. tell him to take it in and checked out only if the light is on. if it goes out, they will tell him that the system is ok and charge him anyway.
