Would my old 48 Ford cabover be welcome there? I went to the Ozarks run in Branson a couple of years ago and I felt like a red headed step child by the club putting it on because it wasn't an F-100. The participants with the trucks there were great and made me feel right at home though.

They are a little odd about that for some reason. I wish I had known you then...I saw the truck for sure.

You bet it would! Last year, I counted two F-350s, one F-250, and one absolutely gorgeous cabover F-6 that had a PowerStroke diesel.

Hi Brian, Long time no talk since I haven't been on this section of the forums lately. I have been on this site, but I have been doing a lot of reading in the 7.3 Powerstroke section, since I bought one to pull my camper. I remember you saying you were in the club that puts on the Branson show. Don't get me wrong, nobody treated me badly. But I didn't really feel like they cared that I came either. I still had a good time, but it would have been better if I hadn't felt quite so out of place. As you said, we didn't meet then. If we had, I'm sure it would have been better with your hospitality considering you are a club member. I would likely come back again though if I knew one way or the other how they(the club) felt about it.

Scott
I really don't care how they feel, I am not a club member but go every year to look at trucks, the more the better as far as I am concerned!!!
I know several club members and several former members including one of the people that started it. My truck might be ready for their show next year if so hope to see you there, if so will do my best to make you feel at home. If trucks not ready to drive will be there anyway.
Larry

scottm1,
I have not yet been to the Pigeon Forge show but I believe the group hosting it are the same as hosted the Chimney Rock show. We went there in 2001 and they are a wonderful bunch of truckers. There show seemed as much about the people as the trucks. I'm really looking forward to this show, so I say bring that 48 cabover on down and enjoy the smokies.

I have never been to a show and met any other fellow truckers I didn't like. I am certainly looking for places and shows to go this summer and this show looks promising. I didn't even know about this particular show until I read this post. It's hard to find a "truck" show that includes cabovers. They are kinda the
'ugly duckling so to speak" of the F series trucks and not many people spend time and money on them. I'll be the first to admit that anybody that would spend the time and money I did on a damn ole cabover needs his head examined!! ha ha.....I built it because I felt it was so ugly it was cute! Anyway, I hope to be there and hope to meet some of you guys on here and put names to a faces.

I'm kinda out of the loop here. What has happened to the super nats? Is it all cars and no trucks.now?. if so they can get bent! What are the dates of the Pigeon Forge show? Any F-1 at the show. Hey maybe Dolly will show up--then we'll have some shade.
later Mike

Mike, it is my understanding that the super-nats is under new ownership and they have opened the show past the ford trucks and also opened to muscle cars. I didn't care for the show last year and not as many vendors as there used to be. I just like the Smokey mt' f1-f100 run much better, not nearly as big, major vendors some swap meet guys but everyone has lots of fun, you stay at Smokey Shadows and your in the middle of everything. Lots of F1's for me to look at and we sit around till the wee hours just talking trucks, lots of fun. Trucks start arriving on wed. thru Sat the week of june 25th, come join us, Garry
