Also, there's a new truck mag coming out specifically for Old Ford trucks, I don't know if I can mention the name here without getting my butt chewed for advertising, but I know the guy starting the magazine and I've done articles for his other truck magazine in the past that has to do with Broncos, so I'll probably take a lotta pics and do a little article for the truck show. [Wow, that was one long sentence, heh.]

Cool?

Look forward to meeting everyone on Friday evening and if anyone is around Villa Rica, GA, we may need to call in reinforcements on putting my truck back together. Body shop is shooting for June 19th to be done. June 19th?! That's like 5 days to put it back together.

Hello

Hello all, sorry it has taken me so long to get on this site but I finally made it. I'm the L half of L&M Promotioms that does the Great Smoky Mth F-100 Show. I'm thilled to read all the great comments about the show. We are trying to give you guys the type of show that everyone said they wanted to see. I notice some folks are staying at different motels. Last account I had, the Smoky Shadows still has rooms and you can get the show rate. The more rooms we fill the less chance of a mini van parked beside you. The rooms have been released but you can still get in.

I look forward to seeing all of you there and if we can help the FTE guys let us know. I'll try to be at Rick's tent on Friday and someone please give me a heads up when it's Krispy Kream time. I hope you enjoy our little get together.

Stanley aka Orange Crate

The body shop informed me yesterday they would have it painted this week...a week earlier than anticipated. Why? The painter suddenly remembered he's going on vacation next week?! I went up there yesterday on my lunch break to pull all the guts out of the door, for two reasons...to help 'em out and so I'd be familiar with how it all goes together, for when I replace all that stuff. I'll probably be up there every day this week on my lunch break and after work.

I'm only staying somewhere else because my brother, his wife and two boys will be coming and I had to accommodate for everyone's wants in a hotel.

I got my core support and inner fenders painted, the transmission is back from being rebuilt, the engine is primed with good oil pressure, I got a new radiator ordered and I've got alot of last minute shopping to do to make sure we have everything we need for the last minute build rush.

Trailer Parking

Don (53Ford) asked about trailer parking for the show. We do have off site traiker parking available for those that need it.

Stanley, first off welcome to our end of the world,I know this will be a good get together. I have a question for you , I thought at the awards last year that the show would be in Classis Trucks but could never find it in any issue's, did I misunderstand or am I just wrong,( maybe dreaming ).

Booked my room at the Smokey Shadows just last week. Got what I thought was a great rate. $59, a night for Thurs. and Fri. nights. Can't beat that rate..

Classic Trucks

Homade, in response to the deal with Classic Trucks, we thought we had a deal with them too. We contacted Grant Petersen about it and was informed that he had called the deal off. To not get wound up and say something I'll regret, I'll just say I was somewhat upset at him but had some conflicting stories and no way to confirm them except that each had a different side. I announced it at the show because I thought we had a deal. Turns out Classic Trucks couldn't / wouldn't pay for the story. Needless to say, next time I'll be much more cautious with ANY magazine editor!! Sorry to rant but........

Well, due to some family issues that have come up, we won't be arriving til Friday morning. I was also trying to cut costs some, so we dropped one night and will just be there Friday-Sunday.

I also moved our reservations yet again...and we'll be at the Smoky Shadows.

How's everybody coming along? Just 13 days left:

The body shop is kicked in gear and getting it done. They should have the cab painted today, got the bed and tailgate done yesterday. I imagine I'll get to bring it home Monday or Tuesday because they'll have to get the glass guy to come back out to put the windshield and back glass back in it.

And I just ordered a buncha goodies from some folks that sell these kinda things, haha.

EffieFord,
Sounds like we both are in the race to finish in time for P.F., pulled Homade out of paint room today and put the remainder of parts in for paint tomorrow, now I only have to sand and buff and put it together by the 23rd, good luck on yours, Garry

We're leaving Ohio on Monday morning and we'll be there by Monday evening. So I'll in the area all week.

Later,Bill
